Gary Valenciano once again proves the show must go on despite being sick. Actor Gary Valenciano has pushed through with a North America concert tour despite pneumonia. The tour, which includes a concert at the Museum The Repeat in San Juan City on Oktubre 20, 2023, is set to take place at Biyernes, sa Music Museum, Greenhills, San Juan city. Val Encenciano's tour dates include dates in Washington, California, Portland, Portland (Setyembre), Portland, Oregon, Calgary, Alberta, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Winnipeg and Toronto, Ontario (Oktubre 1, Linggo); Toronto, Toronto, Ont. and Temecula, California (Ok tubre 6 at 7, Sabado). The band is also touring in the Philippines.

“So I called our pulmonologist sa Texas. Sabi ko, ‘Dr. Baron, he has no voice and he’s coughing! Ganyan-ganyan.’
“Steroids! He took steroids. And then, in three days, he had a voice. As in iyakan yung mga band.
Ang nasabing concert tour ay ginanap sa Suquamish, Washington (Setyembre 2, Sabado); Brooks, California (Setyembre 9, Sabado); Portland, Oregon (Setyembre 10, Linggo); Calgary, Alberta (Setyembre 24, Linggo); Winnipeg, Manitoba (Setyembre 28, Huwebes); Toronto, Ontario (Oktubre 1, Linggo); at Temecula, California (Oktubre 6 at 7, Biyernes at Sabado).
“E, sold out na yung show sa Pechanga… sabi ko nga, ‘Will we cancel? Will we cancel?’ You know, pero sabi niya, ‘No, I wanna do it.’”
“Pero sinabi niya, ‘I’ve been sick.’ Yung mga fans, umiiyak. Pero he sang, ha, two hours.”

“Gusto niya, presscon. Sabi ko, hindi kaya! We just arrived from the States Thursday last week,” sambit ni Angeli.
May pinuntahan pa si Gary na birthday celebration, at event ng Billboard Philippines. Siyempre, kailangan ding magpahinga at bumawi ng lakas.
Ang dalawa pang show dates ng Gary V Back At The Museum The Repeat ay sa Oktubre 27 at Nobyembre 3 (ang ika-100 na solo concert ni Gary V sa Music Museum).

“You go and work out, and after working out, you’re tired but parang… natapos mo lahat ng steps, lahat ng exercises.”
Pagtango ni Gary V, “Meron na rin. Meron pa rin. It’s tiring especially for the voice. Because it’s a challenging repertoire.
“But physically, the people serve as the source of inspiration. Kasi I see the faces, I see the reactions, e.
“When I see, when I hear them go, ‘Ohhh!’ When they go like that… that means OK! We got them, and that’s what I saw a lot of tonight.
“Actually, the audience has been like that. That’s why we had a repeat. Kasi ang daming humihingi ng… you know, ‘Can we buy tickets pa?’ And also… here we are, doing this again.”
“Kami, kami, nag-iyakan talaga. And the audience. Kasi I remember like in Toronto, second song pa lang, standing ovation,” salaysay ni Gary V.
“Sabi ko, ‘Ngayon lang ako nagkaroon ng standing ovation na mabilis yung kanta.’ Usually pag mabagal, they stand up.
“Eto, second number pa lang… bang! Tumayo na sila. So I said talaga, ‘This is just the second number, don’t get me too emotional!’
“But I get also, especially in Canada, I was supposed to be there in 2020. May down payment na at lahat. And then the pandemic came, di ba?
“And then 2021, ganun pa rin, I couldn’t get there and all. In Canada, it was obvious na sabik na sabik ang mga tao. Some of them were ticket holders from 2020.
“They honored the tickets, so it was really, really ano. Then you know, when I was in the States, my first concert, I had pneumonia. Without even knowing that I had it.
“I just felt there’s something wrong. And then the doctor gave me steroids. And then, so I gained a little weight pa when I was in the States and all.
“But it was only after the first concert that I went for a CT scan and that’s when they told me, ‘You have pneumonia.’
“So then the talk came in na itutuloy pa ba natin yung tour na ‘to? Because if we don’t push through with this tour, do we push through with the repeats in Manila?
“But then thank God na… you know, I was a lot stronger a week after. And I was able to finish every concert.
“And every concert was finished not by the skin of my teeth, ha? I mean, it was finished na… like tonight. ‘Bang! OK! When’s the next one?!’
“I’m just enjoying the crest of the wave while this body can still do it,” pagmumuwestra pa ni Gary V.
Pagtatapat ni Gary V, “It was so bad that the back-up singers had to sing along with me na. Kasi, hindi ko na abot, e. Hindi ko na abot yung mga kanta.
“Tapos lumabas pa si Gabriel, we had to do all our numbers and all. But I was already under medication then. And then, that was in Suquamish.
“Then we travelled about like an hour to Seattle where I had some days off. And that’s when the doctor said, ‘Go out and have a CT scan just to make sure.’ Yun.
“And while I was in the hospital — I didn’t go to a clinic, I went to the hospital, ER talaga, to have it done — but I couldn’t go with Angeli or Gina because they had COVID.
“So I was in the room, going… ‘Hon, I’m going na, ha? I have your food here,’ ganyan-ganyan-ganyan.
“We were in a suite pero separate rooms na ganun. And then I drank a lot of water and all.
“Saturday and Sunday was the concert in California and then in Portland. I felt a lot stronger na.
“But my voice was not yet at its peak. After that I had a 12-day break in Orlando with my family. That’s when I built up my strength again.
“And when I went back to Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto, yun na! I felt yeah, it’s good! ‘Ano, Gary, can you do the repeats in Manila for…?’ ‘Yeahh! Game!!! Let’s do it!!!’
